Comp Stomp as a genre

December 2, 2008

I finished the single player for the new C&C3 Expansion ‘Kanes Wrath’ the other day, and I still play skirmishes every now and then. I started thinking about WHY I still play it, and I have a few points I think are valid. It kind of lends weight to my arguement for hack’n’slash as a [...]

Another emerging genre! Sneak ‘n’ Stab

November 28, 2008

Earlier this week I wrote about Hack n Slash games and why I think they should be a genre. Recent games like Dynasty Warriors (what are they up to now, about 10? 20?), Diablo 2 and 99 Nights all fit easily into this ‘genre’.

R18+ Debate gets shelved. *sigh*

October 30, 2008

I’ve been following the R18+ for Games in Australia with more passion than usual lately, it could be the gaming subjects I’m studying at uni that are giving me more interest but I still can’t see any reason not to have the rating here. It just makes sense to me; if the anti-R18+ camp’s main [...]
